Men is higher than woman?

last wednesday, I got “Ushul Fiqh” lesson on my campus. The lecture ask us, “do you think is men position more higher than woman? or equal? or even woman is more higher than man?”

I said “woman is more higher than man” why?

because in married life, woman is doing more for her husband and her childs. They even have job, but stay consist to take care of her family. but you know what? in my class, there’s more student choose “man is more high than woman.”

tbh, people in my circle said that too. “do not choose woman if there’s one man left.” I do think that men is so “precious”. so if woman genius but the fact “ordinary” men still being a priority. why? can’t woman be independent and had their carrier and bright? 

but the lecture said in our religion, Islam, there’s a verse about men position is more higher than woman. but there’s hadits, Rasulullah said that “first your mom, mom, mom, then your dad.” so what the exact answer for this?

in Al-quran so many verses tell men and woman is equal. yap, bcs i trust that Islam is justice, peace and beautiful. so now i think position about men and woman is equal.
